Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I hope this message finds you all well. As 2018 is kicking into full gear, the Supreme Lodge is continuing its work for the betterment of the Brotherhood. Please see below for recent updates/reminders…
2018 Membership Drive
As most of you might have already heard, we have initiated a 2018 Membership Drive asking that all members submit their dues to their respective chapters no later than April 30, 2018. The Brotherhood is offering an incentive to the Chapter that submits the greatest percentage of dues based on last year’s membership numbers to the Supreme Lodge by May 1st. The winning chapter will receive a Plaque of Appreciation, an Honorable Mention at the next Convention and Two Seats to the Sunday Banquet. We kindly request you submit your annual dues as soon as possible. Don’t forget to include your email address! If you have any questions regarding the membership drive, please feel free to reach out to District Governors Chrissa Lefes at firstname.lastname@example.org or Erica Aivaliotis at email@example.com.
Winter Supreme Lodge Meeting
Our next Supreme Lodge meeting is scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, March 10, 2018. The Lodge is looking forward to this long over-due visit and to seeing our Brothers and Sisters from Chapter Langada. The meeting will take place at the White House Restaurant located at 3172 Peachtree Road in Atlanta at 2:30 PM. We look forward to a productive meeting and urge all Icarians in the Atlanta Metropolitan area to join us.
2018 Youth Leadership Conference
The Youth has started planning the 2018 Youth Leadership Conference. This year they are headed to Pittsburgh, PA, for Chapter Icaros’ Mini-Convention, which runs from May 26 – May 28 (Memorial Day Weekend). The deadline for delegates to register is April 1st. Each chapter can send two delegates. The host chapter will pay for the delegates’ hotel rooms, meals, and dance tickets, which is reimbursed by the Supreme Lodge. The Youth Conference is a great opportunity for our youth to connect, learn more about the Brotherhood and prepare for future leadership positions. We ask each chapter to consider providing a stipend for their delegates to help with travel costs.
When choosing your two delegates, we ask that you strongly consider new delegates to attend these conferences as to get more people involved, but this is not a requirement. Non-delegates are always more than welcome and can attend at their own costFor more information or to register please visit: pan-icarian.net/youth-leadership-conference/or email Erica Aivaliotis at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I would like to remind the Chapters to reach out to your respective District Governor every time you have a meeting or an event. Take the opportunity to meet with them and let them assist you with your Chapter needs. They have been elected to help your chapter succeed and grow in membership. As a reminder, the District Governors are as follows: Chrissa Lefes, Governor District 1; George Karnavas, Governor District 2; Steve Stratakos, Governor District 3; Evangelos J. Fragos, Governor District 4; Alexandra Katsas, Governor District 5; Nick Skaros, Governor District 6 and Erica Aivaliotis, Youth Governor District 7.
